Pacific Northwest - June 2016 - jtringl

While more civilized than wild, these are still journeys of exploration & understanding.  Some flowers too!

June 11-24, 2016.   Civilized Places and Events.   A partial repeat of our various trips to the Pacific Northwest going back 30 years. The most recent was our long driving trip in 2011. The first was our honeymoon in 1986 to Crater Lake, Seattle, and Vancouver. That was the year of the Expo86 World's Fair. We also made a day trip to Victoria and the Buchart Gardens that year. No Crater Lake on this trip, but we got some of the rest, plus visits to other trips' hightlights and few new things.

We took Amtrak to Seattle and stayed two nights. Then the Victoria Clipper to Victoria and three nights there. A driving/ferry day took us to Powell River and Karen's friends Wes and Janet Bingham for three nights. Then a driving day to Vancouver (two more ferries) and four nights there. We flew home.
