Roads End to Forester Pass
August 3 - noon August 7, 2016. Sierra South. A night in a campground near Cedar Grove (same place I visited in June), then the 3½ day, 8,000-foot climb up the Bubbs Creek drainage to Forester Pass. Nights at Charlotte Creek, Vidette Meadow, and "Wheelbarrow Camp". This route, with nearly the same stops, matches the first days of my 2009 excursion from King's Canyon to Whitney. Next gallery.

The light has a bit of a pinkish glow.
