2017. SF Bay Area. Bay Area 2017. I don't usually take pictures on as short a walk as I did here, but I do take the camera along, just in case I see something interesting. I did.
Polystichum munitum (western sword fern). 'Tis the season to make new fronds.
Polystichum munitum (western sword fern), unfurling new frond. Most don't have this round a curl, but, rather, are more folded as in the previous picture.
Sanicula crassicaulis (Pacific sanicle). Nothing exotic, just a really good view of the the leaves and flower.
