Pt. Lobos - July 2015
While I didn't go to the Bird Island, I did get a nice view from a distance.
I'm here just about at high tide -- on a day with a full moon -- so only the top tidepools like this bench were exposed. Still, this pool had lots of nice sloshing water. (0:50 video - click to play - download if playing poorly.)
There were lots of crabs in that pools.
This one even popped its front end above water.

Working my way out the point, I got a nice treat in the distance: dolphins. (0:30 video - click to play - download if playing poorly.)
Sea lions at the end of the point. I don't need a video to show how much they move: except for the waves, this still captures most of the action.
And around on the north side of the point, harbor seals.
